This past Saturday was the 27th Annual HOPE Volleyball Tournament and what a fantastic day it was! The sun was shining and thousands of players and spectators made their way to Centre Island to play volleyball and support two great charities!
The HOPE planning team would like to extend a BIG thank-you to all of the volunteers that made Saturday’s event such a success, including the Friday volunteers who set up all of the volleyball nets. On Saturday, we had the help of over 60 wonderful volunteers including the Emergency Patrol Search Rescue and Communications group, long time HOPE deejay Bob, and our youngest volunteer, Jacky, who raised $150 at her lemonade stand! There are many many more dedicated volunteers and every single volunteer played a vital role in making the day run smoothly and allowing HOPE to support the Alzheimer Society of Toronto and Kids, Cops & Computers.
In the coming weeks, we’ll have a party to say thank you to all the HOPE volunteers and present the fundraising proceeds to the two charities. If you missed out on this year’s festivities, make sure you join us for the Winter Indoor Beach Volleyball Tournament at BeachBlast and at next year’s 28th Annual HOPE Volleyball Tournament at Centre Island!
