When is the registration deadline?
The registration deadline is TBD.
How do I get my game schedule?
Game schedules and details will be posted online here 1 week prior to the tournament date.
The general schedule for the day is as follows:
9:00 am – 10:30 am Team Check-in, Pick-up team kit
9:30 am Warm-up with Grooves Fitness & Dance!
9:45 am All Captain’s Meeting
10:00 am Round-robin volleyball play
12:30 – 1:15 pm Lunch break and Live Auction
4:30 pm Playoffs (approx. time depending on division)
Where do I sign the mandatory waiver?
All participants must sign the online waiver BEFORE August 17th 2017 – 5pm. Using the online registration system, your team captain must “invite” you to join the team. You will then receive an email notification with a link to the registration and your Confirmation Number. Follow the instructions online and complete the waiver.
Any players joining a team AFTER June 16th, 2016 must sign a hard copy of the waiver, which will be available at the registration table on event day.
How do I get to Toronto Centre Island?
Take the Centre Island Ferry located at the Queen’s Quay ferry terminal (map), behind the Harbour Castle Westin Hotel. Be sure to take the Centre Island Ferry, or you’ll have a long walk to the tournament from the other ferry landing. HOPE Volleyball is set up on “Olympic Island”, which is towards your left as you exit off the ferry and then over the small bridge (see Island maps – PDF).
Centre Island Ferry Departure times: 8:00 a.m. and every 30 minutes thereafter. We recommend that your team depart from the ferry docks at least 1 hour before your scheduled game time. Please note – it is very busy in the morning at the docks, so you may need to catch a subsequent ferry due to limited capacity.
Adult – $ 7.50
Student/Senior (ages 15-19; over 65 – with proof of age) – $5.00
Junior (ages 2-14) – $3.65

No outside alcohol please. Toronto Municipal Code 608-8 prohibits anyone to have in their possession an open container of any liquor or consume any liquor unless in a designated area, authorized by permit and with the approval of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Security and Toronto Police can and will enforce these rules.
What is the alcohol policy during the tournament?
Our popular licensed Beer Garden will be set up with a selection of alcohol available for purchase. Cash only please. Alcohol can only be consumed within the secured beer garden area. All volunteer staff in the bar area will be Smart-Serve trained.
** NEW ** Bags and coolers may be searched for liquor as you enter the tournament site. Anyone bringing your own alcohol to the Island or consuming alcohol outside the designated area may be fined and/or expelled from the tournament.

What food will be available?
The Island is a perfect place for a picnic and there will be lots of picnic tables available. For those of you who prefer, the Island food vendor (not affiliated with HOPE) will be serving up BBQ hamburgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, salads, and drinks. Cash only please.
Additional food options are available in the adjacent Centreville amusement park.
Do you accept debit or credit cards?
Credit card transactions are only available for live auction, silent auction, and donations.
Cash only please for alcohol and food purchases.
Can spectators and kids watch the games?
Yes! And it’s FREE for spectators. We encourage you to bring the kids and invite friends and family to come and cheer for your team. This is perfect for a family picnic. Centreville, a children’s amusement park, is right next-door.
Are there washrooms and change rooms?
A large Washroom-Changeroom facility is conveniently located nearby.
